About the Rubrix Brand Owner and Creator, Ruben Gonzales
"I've always been fascinated by the way things work, and as a kid, I'd spend hours taking apart and rebuilding my toys to see how they ticked. That curiosity led me to RC racing, and my first trip to a local track in Zaragoza, Spain was all it took for me to be hooked. By 1992, I was racing in the 2WD class with my trusty MRC Santana, and by 1994, I'd won the 4WD category with my Kyosho Lazer MK2.
After a 26-year break from the hobby, I found myself itching to get back involved. A chance encounter with an old favorite, my Kyosho Lazer, reignited my passion, and before I knew it, I was building replicas of World Championship Yokomo YZ10s of the 1990s. It was a labor of love that reignited my creative spark and fueled my vision for Rubrix Racing Products. Today, I'm proud to bring that same passion and expertise to the RRP brand, working with people that share my passion while crafting products that celebrate the rich history and community of RC racing."
